Is to create a place of refuge and restoration where every child, regardless of their past, is known, loved, and given the opportunity to grow into a life of purpose, faith, and hope. Lazarus Way envisions a generation of children transformed through unconditional love, guided by the truth of God’s word, and equipped with the skills, confidence, and character needed to break cycles of poverty and brokenness—becoming compassionate leaders who impact their families and communities for generations to come.

Lazarus Way has been in the heart of our founder Dr. Waggoner for over 20 years. She has spent decades serving the children and families of the far western North Carolina Appalachian mountains. Over her years of service, she has witnessed and given her best to aid families in the throes of deep poverty and brokenness. Witnessing the same patterns of poverty and brokenness moving from generation to generation. Through much time of prayer and meditation on the word of God, Lazarus Way was conceived in her heart and is being birthed into reality. There is much work to be done!
